Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and your rights — including the rights of parents and children under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Who we are

Family Future Readiness ("we", "us") provides a family career-readiness assessment and report. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described below.

2. Data we collect

To generate your report, we collect what you choose to give us:
  • Parent/guardian email address.
  • Information about your child: first name, age, class/board, school type, interests, strengths, and activities.
  • Family context you provide: parents' professions, network, city, approximate education budget, resources, and values.
  • Your responses to the readiness assessment.

3. Children's data & parental consent

Our assessment is about a child, so we process a child's personal data. In line with the DPDP Act, we require verifiable parental consent — via an explicit checkbox — from the parent or legal guardian before we process this data or generate a report. That consent is captured in your browser session alongside your data (see Section 5) rather than recorded on a server. We do notuse children's data for targeted advertising, tracking, profiling for marketing, or any purpose that could harm the child.

4. Why we use it (purpose limitation)

We use your data for one purpose only: to generate and deliver your family's readiness report. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated purposes. If we ever want to use it for something new, we will ask you first.

5. How it's protected

The assessment and report run entirely in your browser. Your answers and the generated report are stored only in your browser's session storage on your own device — they are not transmitted to, or retained on, any server we operate. Closing the tab or clearing site data removes them. The report page is only reachable from the same browser session that created it; a shared or forwarded link alone will not open someone else's report.

6. Retention

Because your data stays in your browser's session storage rather than on a server, we do not retain it after your session ends. You control retention directly: it persists only for as long as your browser tab remains open, and you can clear it at any time by closing the tab or clearing site data.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:
  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Withdraw consent and request erasure of your data.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Third parties

The current version of this product does not send your or your child's data to any third-party service — report content is generated entirely on your device, and payment is not yet live. If we introduce a real payment processor or AI provider in the future, we will update this notice before your data is shared with them, and only on our instructions. We never sell your data.

9. Contact & grievances

To exercise any right, withdraw consent, or raise a concern, email us at privacy@familyfuturereadiness.example. We will respond within the timelines required by law.

This notice is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. We recommend a review by a qualified lawyer before relying on it for a live service.
